The History Of Christian Concepts For Living.
Christian Concepts was founded by Bobby and Betty Dixon.
Bobby and Betty Dixon were saved in 1975 as a result of attending a couples retreat in Florida. Since that time the Lord has worked mightily in their lives, particularly in the areas of home, marriage and victorious living. They are gifted in taking God's principles and applying them to everyday living in practical ways.
The Dixons served as family counselors with the Paul Anderson Youth Homes, Inc. in Georgia and Texas for four years. During this time they worked with troubled teenagers and their families in the restoration of their lives.
The Lord in 1985 led them into Christian Concepts for Living - a ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, initiated to present God's solutions to man's problems.
Christian Concepts For Living is a non-profit, non-denominational organazation and is operated as an arm of the local church. This ministry is supported by tax deductible contributions.
The purpose of Christian Concepts for Living is to speak and teach God's word in order to change lives so that people can be what God wants them to be - a visible expression of Christ. Gal 2:20
Counseling
Restorative and preventive counseling is approached from the biblical perspective that Jesus Christ is the answer to all of man's problems. (Christian financial counseling is also avaliable.) Referrals from pastors , lawyers and freinds are accepted and there is no charge for counseling. This cost is absorbed by contributions to Christian Concepts for Living.
Seminars
The ministry of Christian Concepts for Living includes presenting family life seminars to churches. Biblical principles are presented in clear and pratical ways so that people of all ages might live their lives as God intends. The Bible is the basis and final authority for all teaching. ( 2Tim 3:16 ) The seminars include teaching on:
Marriage Conflicts
In one year more than 1,000,000 marriages end in divorce. The average duration of a marriage is 9 1/2 years.
Finances
Money conflicts underlie more than 80% all family problems.
Communication
Communication is the number one answer given when couples are asked to list the major problem in their marriage.
Discipline of Children
Lack of consistent, Godly discipline in formative years leads to rebellion against authority in teen years.
Victorious Christian Living
Ninety percent of all Christians never experience the abundant life promised by Jesus Christ.
